Scott Thomas Singers- Enough To Shout About
Scott Thomas Singers singing enough to shout about from their recording "Tuning In". I am sorry, but I could not locate any pics from the album this comes from. Singing on this recording are Scott Thomas, his mother Sheila Thomas, and sister-in-law Tanja Cochran. Scott's wife Tessa and her sister Tanja are featured with him on many of their recordings, and they have all written songs nationally recorded and released. God Still Answers Prayers, Ain't Gonna Run No More, and So Good To Me, are a few that have been on the Singing News Charts and featured on radio shows like The Gospel Greats. Scott has also been a featured singer with other favorite Southern Gospel groups Tony Gore & Majesty and Ricky Atkinson & Compassion, and Tessa sang by his side with Compassion. A couple fun facts that you may not know: 1. Scott was in a hometown quartet called the Harmony Brothers in high school with Barry Scott, later of The Perrys, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver and now Barry Scott and Second Wind. 2. Karen Peck of New River recorded Scott's song "God Still Answers Prayers" and saw it become a Singing News chart topper, but she also had a singing engagement with Scott and Tessa on a July day in the 90's... it was their wedding day... pretty nice wedding singer! Oh, and her son was the ring bearer too. www.scottthomasministries.com

Hide Me Rock Of Ages- Inspirations 1971. Archie Watkins, Ronnie Hutchins, Eddie Dietz, Marlin Shubert, and Martin Cook. Most people are not familiar with Marlin. He was the original bass with the Inspirations, and he was a good one. Troy Burns and later Mike Holcomb would fill that role.

The Inspirations- On The Sunny Banks
The Inspirations- On The Sunny Banks, featuring Archie Watkins. Best I can determine the time frame on this should be 1969-1970. Anyway, Archie (Tenor), Ronnie Hutchins (Lead), Jack Laws ("The Bear Hunter" Baritone), and Troy Burns (Bass here and later the lead singer) were all very young.
