Southern Gospel Song Video - Just A Closer Walk With Thee
Probably the favorite southern gospel song of the 20th century. It encourages us, that to walk close with Him, we can do all things through Him who strengthens us. I will lift up my eyes to the mountains…From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2. http://www.garyharbin.com/

A Round Tuit - YIELDED - Durham, NC
www.yielded-ministries.com Current Radio Single 10-29-08 Written by; Group Member Karen Ghormley and her daughter Winter Grissom. About YIELDED YIELDED, a gospel trio based in Durham, North Carolina, has been singing since 2002 and is constantly looking for ways to help encourage and edify the believers in and around North Carolina and tell the story of the Good News of the Gospel. Yielded ministers through southern gospel music and sharing personal experiences and testimonies. YIELDED proudly boasts membership in the Ministry Music Group of Erwin, NC, and the Lighthouse Gospel Music Association. In addition, YIELDED is endorsed by CMP, (Christian Music Presenters), based in Nashville, Tennessee. As a CMP Endorsed Artist, we join a select group of artists who have demonstrated their commitment to the "Endorsement values" of musical excellence, ministry readiness and spiritual integrity. Founded by Karen Winston, now Karen Ghormley, YIELDED's current members include Rocky Smith from Greensboro, NC, who sings Baritone and plays piano, guitar, banjo, and 14 other instruments. Born in Cicero, Illinois, Rich Wertin now calls New Bern, NC his hometown. Rich sings Tenor and plays piano, harmonica, guitar, and drums. Karen Ghormley, from Durham, NC, sings alto and plays piano, 12 string guitar, and bass guitar. YIELDED's slogan of "Walking, Talking, Singing, and Praising, in the Name of Jesus!" is not just a slogan but also a way of life for each member of the group. All are followers of Christ. YIELDED is currently a part time group singing 3-4 times on most weekends. When not singing, each member is an active member in his or her own church. YIELDED believes we need to "be fed" on a regular basis in order to be effective when we attempt to "feed". In addition to musical talents, each member of YIELDED has a burning desire to minister to the church and point the un-churched to Christ using their God given gifts. YIELDED's ministry is singing the Good News of the Gospel, so we look for all types of venues in which to sing.
